50 (90)cm, a smaller species from rich, well drained soils in woods in Central Thailand with a short stalked brownish-burgundy, recurving and widely opening spathe and an almost black spadix with hair-like filaments. This species makes an elongated, rhizomatous, pencil like corm, the size is given as length. In winter keep dormant corms almost completely dry at a minimum of some 15�C. VI-VII.
