150cm, a medium sized species native of Myanmar, N Thailand, Laos, and China (Yunnan province). Makes a tall, umbrella-like single leaf and a tall inflorescence with a broad yellowish green spathe, purplish-maroon at its base and a whitish green, short and massive spadix. For any humus rich, well drained soil in a partially shaded spot. Keep dormant corms dry during winter at a minimum of some 10°C. VI-VII.
