Arisaema roxburghii (syn. Arisaema pierreanum)
30cm, (formerly spec. 001) coll. BMARI001102000, tropical, non-hardy Arisaema with one to two trifoliate, large, dark green, shiny leaves. From a population growing near the Bang Boe river at some 150m above sea level on Phuket Island, Thailand, occurring in very moist, sandy to loamy soil in shaded places in virgin forest only (photo habitat). Whitish yellow, round, flat corms without offsets. Stem of infructescense below leaves, some 15cm in height. Makes between 30-70 scarlet berries, containing each (1-)4 seeds. Sow seeds some 1cm deep in any well drained and rich soil at min. 20°C (optimum 25°C) in partial shade. Keep dormant corms in a cool (at some 10°C to 15°C) and dry spot. 10 seeds per package.
