30cm, unidentified biannual to semiperennial species, probably belonging to Centaurea or another, close genus. Strongly dissected, spiny, silvery-grey foliage and terminal flower buds (plants shall flower either yellow or rose). From rocky soils growing in full sun. Seeds from an original collection made in Jadra/Jiyé, Lebanon (some 12km S of Beyrouth). For a very well drained, preferably rocky soil in a protected spot in full sun. 10 seeds per package. V-VII.
