Ranunculus cortusifolius (Canary Buttercup)
100 (150)cm, Canary Buttercup is a perennial with large, fresh green, acer-like leaves and large, brilliant yellow flower cups on a tall stem. Native of rich, rather moist soils throughout all Canary islands. For any rich, well drained soil in a sunny to partially shaded spot. Plants go dormant in summer, then keep the succulent bulbous rhizomes drier until new leaves emerge in late autumn to mid winter. Winter minimum some 10°C. V-VII.
