Veratrum virginicum
100 (140)cm, Virginia Bunchflower, quite large white flowers on a tall, erect stalk above broad, glossy foliage. In contrast to similar species, the stalk is densely covered with fine hairs. A rarely seen and threatened species from wet prairies in the US for any humus rich, always slightly moist soil in a sunny to partially shaded spot. VI-VII.
