Viola palmata var. triloba (syn. Viola triloba)
15 (20)cm, a very ornamental variety, similar as the species, yet with bicolored flowers: lower petals pale lilac, upper petals dark purple to violet. Has lobed, oval leaves. Growing in rocky, open woods in E North America. For any rich, well drained soil in a partially shaded to sunny spot. III-IV.
